I think the test of these sorts of cookbooks is whether the whole family — those watching their diets, along with healthy children and others who aren’t on a specific diet — can enjoy the recipes, too. I think the answer her is a definite, “yes!” The portions are designed for one or two people, so even if you are a couple, it works easily and well for a DASH-style diet. After 68 pages of helpful nutrition guidance, there are many delicious recipes, from across the globe, for each meal and occasion.
My whole family is especially enjoying the Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and contemporary North American recipes. I really enjoy the snacks and appetizers included. We’ve even served dishes for our extended family from the clear and easy-to-follow cookbook, and had an enthusiastic reception from all ages. If you’re dealing with diabetes in your family, I’d recommend this book.
